Well, I got to Tim Horton's at 2:45pm and was supposed to be there at 3pm. I waited untill about 3:30, almost 45 Minutes and the sales rep. from the Metro News never came. Before I left I even looked all around the place and saw no one. For a weekly newspaper that is free that pretty much depends on it's advertiser's doesn't seem to want to much business. Very bad service. When I got home I wrote them a nasty email, and then called another weekly free newspaper which is a competitor of them, they are going to send me some info by Monday, so we'll see if this one is any good. Unbelieveable!!
Right now I'm waiting for a sales rep from the Metro News, a community newspaper in the area, at a Tim Horton's, a local coffee shop, to discuss a possible ad in their paper, to promote my Pictures/Slides to DVD part of my business. I'm hoping this will move me forward. I've also bought some google Adwords, advertising on google searches on the side, it's a pay per click, but I'm hoping to generate some traffic to my site, and at least have vistors click on my ads which would pay me money, even if they don't use my services that ads would be some kind of revenue. Unfortatanly there is no Wi-Fi here at Tim Hortons I guess they haven't caught on yet, in fact there are no wireless networks in the area even know there is a starbucks to stores down, I guess their hotspot doesn't go far. I'm also hoping to get a podcast going soon to also promote my business.
Things are slowing down, I have had one project in the last month, and that was just a half-day project deinstalling some computers for a Bank of America branch. I have no other project in line and the bills and student loans are piling up. Jan. 4th if nothing come up I might be taking a trip to Clearwater, FL to see if the job situation is any better there.
